About Us

The California Shop is a small, family-run shop built around a simple idea: celebrating the places, moments, and little things that make California feel like California.

The towns you know by heart. The roads you've driven a hundred times. Foggy mornings, desert afternoons, old signs, neighborhood spots, and the places you'd miss if you ever left.

We're a father and son team, and California has been home for our entire lives. This shop grew out of our love for the state and the things that give different parts of it their own character. We wanted to make shirts that feel familiar...not like souvenirs, but like something you'd actually want to wear.

Every design starts with something we think is worth remembering. A place, a landmark, a feeling, or one of those small California things that doesn't need much explaining if you know it.

We print our designs on Comfort Colors® heavywheight, garment-dyed tees because we wanted the shirts themselves to feel as good as the ideas on them. Soft, substantial, and already a little lived in from the first wear.

Some designs are about places. Others are simply about a feeling. Together, they're our take on California.
